The role of the Doctoral School 
 

Throughout your PhD, the MSTII Doctoral School is by your side to help structure and support your doctoral journey:

• It offers scientific and disciplinary training tailored to your research field.

• It guides you towards transversal courses and resources to help you prepare for life after the PhD.

• It oversees the implementation of your Individual Monitoring Committee (CSI), providing clear information on its role and functioning.

• It manages your annual re-enrolment and adjusts your doctoral path based on your CSI's feedback and your own input.

• It supports you should you consider taking a leave of absence, or gap year (subject to certain conditions).

• It directs you to qualified and available contacts, depending on your needs.

• It keeps you informed about doctoral events organized by the institution.

• It approves your thesis jury and external reviewers, and—once the reports are received—paves the way for your defense.
