The purpose of the monitoring committees is to enable doctoral students to interact with other lecturers and researchers on their research work.
The individual monitoring committee helps to ensure that doctoral students :

• that the thesis project is progressing well, both scientifically and in human terms
• that the work is progressing in line with the objectives set at the start of the thesis
• that the supervisor/doctoral student commitments are respected.

In the event of difficulties, the Individual Monitoring Committee can act as a warning system or mediator.
In compliance with the decree of 25 May 2016, the thesis monitoring procedure at ED MSTII has been set up from the 2018-2019 academic year.
